Who we are
Voices Inspiring Strength, Transformation, and Advocacy (VISTA) Foundation Uganda is a registered nongovernment feminist, AGYW-centered organization advancing social change through direct service delivery and systems-level advocacy. We work at the intersection of health, economic justice, climate action, and social justice to address both the immediate needs and the structural barriers shaping the lives of adolescent girls and young women in Uganda.
VISTA centers the leadership, agency, and lived experiences of adolescent girls and young women, recognizing them not as beneficiaries, but as drivers of change. By combining community-based programs with feminist advocacy and movement building, we support AGYW to take charge in improving their well-being, strengthening their economic power, influencing decisions, and transforming the social and institutional systems that affect their lives.
Who we target
Adolescent girls and young women in their diversity. When we refer to adolescent girls and young women in their diversity, we recognize the intersecting identities and lived experiences shaped by age, disability, socio-economic status, location, education, health status, and other factors that influence access to rights and opportunities.
